The DIN is a standard that was developed by the "Deutsches Institut für Normung" (one might call the national standards organization in Germany). The DIN is facing many sectors, but we have tried to focus on the DIN-oriented electronics and computing. In the case of Enclosures means qualifying under the German legislation on racks and is standardized to DIN 41494-7.

The so-called HSS (High Speed ??steel) bits are treated with a type of drill bit whose tip is sharp and cross-shaped.
With this cross-shaped sharpening, a more precise perforation is achieved, sometimes even pre-drilling is unnecessary.

• HSS rectified cobalt drill bit (HSS-E, HSS-CO): These are high quality metal drills, ideal for drilling metals of all types, including stainless steel. They hold the temperature very well so they can be used without coolant and at high cutting speeds.
