ATX

ATX corresponds to a standard that was created to improve Baby-At. The idea of ??this improvement was rejoining carasterísticas to improve the speed and what it cost to mount a plate. ATX measures are 30.5 cm x 24.4 cm. From here in the ATX format we can be found different formats - E-ATX has measure 30 cm by 33 cm - ATX-30 having a measurement 30.5 24.4 cm - Mini ATX has a measure x 28.4 cm

Categories network cables

Depending on the quality and type, network cables are classified into categories that help us know the characteristics of them.

The categories of network cables most commonly used are:

- Category 5
- Category 5e
- Category 6
- Category 6
- Category 7

As can be seen, category 5e (enhanced or improved) and category 6A (Augmented), are an improvement of categories 5and 6, respectively, which it has improved the top speed and bandwidth.

The higher the category, the higher the speed of maximum data, the maximum 100 meters distance as its standard.

You can see a table which shows the 5 categories, where V is the maximum velocity, D is the maximum and MHz frequency which can work away.

Gbps

Gbps (Gb/s, Gbit/s) is the speed with which information is transmitted. It is normally used to measure the speed information in the ADSL/fiber addresses transmitted.

  • 1 Gb/s is equivalent to 1,000,000,000 b/s.
  • 1 Gb/s is equivalent to 1000000 kb/s.
  • 1Gb/s equals 1000 Mb/s.

PCI - MiniPCI

A Peripheral Component Interconnect (PCI, "Peripheral Component Interconnect") is a bus (picture 2) computer standard for connecting peripheral devices directly to your motherboard. Dimensions of the cards - PCI (standard) 107 mm x 312 mm (picture 1) - PCI Low Profile Height: 36.07 mm x 64.41 mm Depth: 119.91 mm to 167.64 mm - Mini PCI Mini PCI cards have a Maximum consumption2W.

RJ45

When we talk about RJ45 ("Registered Jack" 45) we refer to a telecommunications network interface for wired connection of voice and data equipment.

This connector has 8 pins or connections and may have a specific category depending on the data transfer speed and bandwidth (category 5e, 6, etc.)

The common application is their use in Ethernet network cables under TIA/EIA-568-B standard that defines the arrangement of pins (pinout), but can also be used for other applications.
